Music Generation
We are delighted as Music Generation started Pick Up and Play workshops here in the school in January 2020. Music educator Paul Campbell has been working with groups of children from 4th 5th and sixth class with the ‘Pick up and play’ band classes.
PICK UP AND PLAY
- Music Generation Louth’s Pick Up and Play band classes are aimed at students of mixed abilities who enjoy playing pop and rock music as part of a group.
- Over the course of the term, participants will have the opportunity to learn and play electric guitar, bass guitar, drums and keyboard.
- The groups formed over the course of the term will also have the opportunity to showcase their material at Music Generation Louth’s annual popular music concerts.
Music Generation Louth is a music education service that provides a range of opportunities throughout the county for children and young people to learn music. It is part of Music Generation – Ireland’s National Music Education Programme, initiated by Music Network, co-funded by U2, The Ireland Funds, the Department of Education and Skills and Local Music Education Partnerships.
