Our 6th class students from Scoil Naomh Cholmcille took part in a mini basketball league this year. For some of the children this was their first time playing competitive basketball and representing their school. The matches took place in Dundalk IT and Dundalk Sports Centre. There was tough competition from other schools but both the girls and boys teams played extremely well and really enjoyed their matches.
Well done 6th class!
In February, our 5th class took part in a blitz organised by Basketball Ireland. They also spent time training as referees, time-keepers and score-keepers. They had a fantastic day and played brilliantly. The coaches and team from Basketball Ireland were highly complementary about their sportsmanship, commitment and overall behaviour – Well done 5th class! We are very proud of you.
