Science Week

Science Week

Our children from junior infants right up to 6th class took part in an amazing science week this year organised by Mr Carroll and Mr Hynes.

An eight station scientific laboratory was set up in our school hall for all our children to become scientists for the week.

These stations operated by our 6th class allowed all children in the school to engage in a range of various science experiments. Some of these experiments included:

  • Creating electrical currents
  • Experimenting with static electricity
  • Target practice with the airzooka
  • Finger print testing
  • Heart rate monitoring
  • Microscope activities
  • Paper helicopters
  • Design and build a variety of bridges

See the images below of our children becoming scientists for the week!
